Studying at the Design and Arts College of New Zealand has given me a better insight into what path I want to follow in the future. I have always been an avid drawer and college helped me hone those skills for the work environment. This course allowed me to experiment with different media and express more of my creative side and they also prepared me for the industry.

Communicating an idea is often target specific so building on my skills base has enabled me to respond in a variety of visual styles.

My inspiration comes from a range of sources: Weta Workshop, because they employ people from a wide variety of disciplines and artists like Miles Johnston and David Downton, who are both freelance illustrators from the UK. They both create beautiful pieces of art but use very different media. Being able to inspire others through your work speaks volumes about your attitude, skill and professionalism.
